A katonai erények: Hadtörténelmi példákkal szemléltetett katonai etikai elmélet

Jelen könyv a katonai etika egyik nagyobb kutatási területének, a katonai erényeknek a vizsgálatát célozza. Ezek bemutatása mellett a könyv azt az állítást igyekszik alátámasztani, hogy a 20–21. század katonái számára a hagyományos, harcosi, professzionális és nemzeti-közösségi értékeket megjelenítő erények mellett az emberi egyéni értékeket megvalósító morális erények is komoly jelentőséggel rendelkeznek. A könyv ennek az álláspontnak az alátámasztására főként katonai etikai érveket és elméleteket mutat be, amelyek minden esetben kiegészülnek a szemléltetést szolgáló hadtörténelmi példákkal.
A könyv első fejezete az alapvető fogalmakkal és a vizsgálat módszereivel ismertet meg, a második rész célja az erények általában vett természetének bemutatása. A fejlődési irány ábrázolása érdekében a harmadik fejezettől kezdődően ismertetem az egyes katonatípusok alapvető erényeit és ezek különböző fajtáit. A könyv végén összegzem az előző részek megállapításait, majd felvázolva a fegyveres konfliktusok fejlődésének egy, a korábbiakban implicite alkalmazott szakaszolását, ebbe a keretbe helyezem bele az elért eredményeket.
