Sustainable Technical Developments in Civil Protection: The Role of Energy-Efficient and Environmentally Friendly Technologies

Synopsis

The application of sustainable and energy-efficient technical innovations plays a key role in the operation of civil protection organizations. Due to the increasing frequency of climate change-related events and natural disasters, the integration of environmentally friendly technologies into disaster management equipment has become essential. Renewable energy-­powered systems, such as solar-powered electricity units and energy-efficient reconnaissance tools, significantly enhance the efficiency of autonomous operations. Furthermore, the use of alternative propulsion vehicles, smart sensor networks, and recycled materials reduces environmental impact. The aim of this research is to explore the current and future potential of sustainable technologies applicable in civil protection, and to define the possibilities for integrating environmentally friendly innovations into both military and civil protection operations. The results may contribute to the development of a more efficient, sustainable, and energy-conscious disaster management system.
