Quo Vadis Scientific Research? This is How We Research…: A Questionnaire-Based Survey on the Topic of the Difficulties in Scientific Research and the Factors That Help or Hinder Research, Among Those Who Have Conducted Scientific Research in the Past or Present
Synopsis
The success of scientific research fundamentally depends on how thoroughly researchers understand the process and stages of scientific activity and their content, and how systematic their work is. Further prerequisites for effective research are a comprehensive understanding of the rules, ethical issues, and obstacles of research work. The authors aim to use empirical research to assess the difficulties faced by researchers and the factors that slow or hinder their work, and based on the results of their research, to make recommendations for effective research processes and methods, as well as crisis intervention solutions. Based on their analysis, they provide useful suggestions for avoiding research challenges and effectively eliminating problems that arise. Their findings may be useful to doctoral students and doctoral candidates who still have a long way to go in their research, but they may also provide practical ideas for those who have already spent several years in research. Although the study covered a wide range of scientific fields, the focus was particularly on researchers in the technical sciences, and within that, military technical sciences.
