A természet maffiája: A szervezett bűnözés megjelenése a védett állat- és növényfajok nemzetközi illegális kereskedelmében
Authors
Synopsis
A védett állat- és növényfajok kereskedelme mára a világ egyik legjövedelmezőbb illegális üzletágává vált. Súlyát mégis gyakran alábecsülik, inkább ökológiai problémaként tekintenek rá, pedig hatásai – a gazdasági károktól a járványügyi fenyegetésekig – valójában a mindennapjainkat is elérték.
Jelen monográfia a bűnügyi tudományok eszköztárával bizonyítja, hogy a védett fajok illegális kereskedelme a modern szervezett bűnözés egyik legprofesszionálisabb ágazatának tekinthető. A szerző bemutatja, hogyan váltak a hagyományos bűnszervezetek olyan üzleti alapú hálózatokká, amelyek legális gazdasági szereplőket és vállalkozásokat használnak fedőtevékenységként az illegális áruk mozgatásához. Külön hangsúlyt kap a digitális tér szerepe: az online kereskedelem rugalmassága és anonimitása újszerű kihívást jelent a hatóságok számára a bűnszervezetek felderítése kapcsán. A szerző a hatékonyabb fellépés érdekében elengedhetetlennek látja a nemzetközi bűnügyi információcsere radikális megerősítését és a vállalatok ellátási láncainak szigorúbb ellenőrzését.
A kötet hiánypótló összegzés minden olyan szakember és döntéshozó számára, aki nem csupán érteni kívánja a modern bűnügyi hálózatok működését, hanem hatékony megoldásokat is keres korunk egyik rejtett, mégis kiemelten veszélyes illegális tevékenységével szembeni küzdelemhez.
