Regulation (EU) 2024/1781 establishes a comprehensive framework for the ecodesign of sustainable products within the European Union market. Its objectives include enhancing the circularity, durability, and energy and resource efficiency of products, while reducing waste generation. It introduces the digital product passport as a digital identifier to support life cycle tracking and information flow among stakeholders. The regulation promotes environmentally conscious consumer choices, strengthens the internal market’s coherence, and supports the integrated implementation of the green and digital transition.
